Missoula Rural Fire District is establishing an eligibility list for Entry-level firefighters. The current base salary for Probationary Firefighter I is $62,356.37, and Probationary Firefighter I/Paramedic is $67,156.37 (additional salary depending on qualifications).
Candidates must successfully complete the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) before submitting an application. For information on the Montana CPAT, visit the Montana Firefighter Testing Consortium website HERE.
The application period for the year 2024 is currently open. You may submit your application before 5 PM on May 31st, 2024. You have two options for submitting your application: you can either drop it off at Station 1, located at 2521 South Ave. West, Missoula, MT 59804, or email the scanned copy of your application to mschnee@mrfdfire.org.
